Clear filtersWhat is a GT3 car?
GT3 is a technical regulations class developed by the FIA and adopted by series worldwide - from the Fanatec GT World Challenge to the IMSA WeatherTech Championship and dozens of national championships in between. The regulations are designed to balance performance across different manufacturers while keeping cars close to their road-going counterparts in appearance. Under the bodywork however, GT3 cars are purpose-built racing machines - with full roll cages, racing ABS, traction control, sequential gearboxes, and aerodynamic packages far beyond anything road legal.
The most popular GT3 cars
The GT3 grid is dominated by a handful of manufacturers who have invested heavily in customer racing programmes. The Porsche 911 GT3 R is one of the most successful and widely raced GT3 cars ever built - reliable, well-supported, and with a vast network of Porsche Motorsport dealers offering parts and service worldwide. The Ferrari 488 GT3 and its successor the 296 GT3 are factory-supported machines with strong results at the highest level. The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO brings naturally aspirated character to a turbocharged grid, while the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and BMW M4 GT3 represent the German manufacturers' serious commitment to customer racing. The Audi R8 LMS GT3, McLaren 720S GT3, and Aston Martin Vantage GT3 round out a grid that offers genuine variety in driving character and manufacturer support.
Buying a GT3 car
GT3 cars are sold new exclusively through official manufacturer programmes, but the used market is active and well-supplied. Teams regularly rotate their fleets after one or two seasons, making ex-works and ex-customer cars available at significantly lower prices than new. When buying used, the key factors are engine hours, crash history, and the availability of manufacturer support for that specific model year - some older homologations lose access to factory parts and Balance of Performance updates, which limits their competitiveness in current championships.
On 37MOTORSPORT you'll find GT3 cars for sale from verified sellers across Europe - from recent-specification championship cars to older homologations ideal for national-level competition or track day use.
